Job Summary

Starting Pay: $15.00 per hour, plus weekly production and performance-based incentive bonuses.

The General Laborer is responsible for the safe and efficient handling of lumber products, ensuring materials meet both customer specifications and company quality standards. This role involves inspecting, organizing, and preparing materials while maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and teamwork are essential for success in this position.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

•     Moves and secures lumber products and other materials according to instructionsStacks finished products according to predetermined bundle sizes and/or customer requirements
•     Labels material based on the following specifications: type, size, and countApplies individual tags to material before/after treating/production
•     Uses a staple gun and troubleshoots equipment.Bands, bundles and secures material, including attaching corner protectors and loading sticks
•     Follows instructions for stacking material properly and according to company policy and customer requirementsEnsures correct quantities and material are strapped, and labeled before leaving the work area
•     Maintains accurate inventory of tags and reports any problems or discrepancies to supervisorRecords production on production sheets
•     Maintains a clean and organized work areaAssists with other work areas by moving material, loading and unloading material carts
•     Participates in safety, CI and other programs and meetings.Performs other duties as required

  Qualifications

•     High school diploma/GED preferred but not requiredNo minimum experience is required, but manufacturing or lumber experience is preferred
•     Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand and power tools.Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.
•     Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
•     Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and tasks. Working knowledge of basic math
•     Must be at least 18 years of age
