This is an entry-level position that supports production by sweeping, cleaning and operating various pieces of equipment.
Responsibilities:- Clean-up left-over product around tanks and other equipment.
- Operate forklift to support production on a daily basis.
- Stack bags of product in a concise and consistent manner.
- Cross-train with other departments to provide consistency throughout the Company.
- Provide back-up support for other roles as necessary. - Available for overtime work on a scheduled or call-in basis, as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned by the manager/supervisor.
A high school diploma, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Forklift experience; certification preferred.
Basic operating knowledge of augers, belt-driven machinery, elevators, and other equipment used in the production process
Skills:Ability to pay attention to detail among constant distractions.
Ability to communicate concerns/problems to manager/supervisor on a professional level.
Physical Requirments:- Continuously lift/move/push/pull objects weighing up to and including 50-pounds; regularly lift/move/push/pull objects weighing up to and including 75-pounds.
- Continuously shovel material.
- Frequently climbs ladders; occasionally works at heights of 100 feet.
- Frequently stoop/crouch/bend/climb/push/pull objects to complete the essential functions of this position.
- Vision sufficient to safely perform the essential job tasks.
