Epsilon Systems Solutions, Inc., is seeking a highly motivated and reliable General Labor - Cleaner to join our team in National City, CA.

Summary: This position performs various duties in support of ship cleanliness involving compartment cleaning of staterooms, general work areas, mess decks and passageways.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Uses various cleaning equipment, chemicals, and methods to perform the following tasks: • Dry-sweep, vacuum, and detergent damp-mop decks and deck plates to remove debris, soiled areas, scuffs, visible oil sheen, and smudges. • Vacuum and shampoo carpets and rugs to remove accumulations of soil, stains, and spillage. • Hand detergent wipe clean and rinse exterior surfaces within normal arm's reach height (7½ feet) without staging to remove areas of soil, streaks, and smudges, to include bulkheads, furniture, doors, windows, mirrors, port-holes, light fixtures, and appendages. • Refill dispensers with hand sanitizer. • Perform a thorough external dusting and a detergent wash wipe of all overhead areas (including ventilation ducting, wire ways, piping, machinery, equipment, bulkheads and appendages) to remove visible oil sheen, debris and liquid/solid hazardous waste. • Install staging; utilize man-lifts as required. • Deep cleaning, scouring clean, sanitizing, bacterial disinfecting, and deodorizing of all tables, food and liquid preparation/serving counters, lines, equipment (interior/exterior), and dispensers (interior/exterior) in galley, scullery (include dishwashers), storerooms (include interior/exteriors of refrigerators/freezers and dry provision storages), and mess decks (include tables and chairs). • Deep cleaning, scouring clean, sanitizing, bacterial disinfecting, and deodorizing of lavatories, toilets, water-closets, sinks, dispensers, showers, plumbing fixtures, mirrors, bulkheads, and partitions. • Accomplish scouring, deep cleaning, sanitizing, bacterial disinfecting, and deodorizing of the grease interceptors and garbage grinder strainers in the galley and scullery. • Replace grease interceptor gaskets and test for leaks.

Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• Able to obtain and maintain access to military and government installations and private shipyards. • Prior shipboard and shipyard experience a plus, however not required • Must be available to work 8-12 hours per day • Must be available to work up to 7 days a week • Must have a basic command of the English language in order to interpret and follow written and oral instructions and assignments • Must be able to climb ladderwells, enter tanks/voids and other confined spaces • Must be able to traverse multiple classes of U.S. Navy/U.S. Coast Guard vessels to include ladderwells, tight compartments, tanks, voids, & bilges

Pay Range The pay range for this is $17.75 to $20.00 per hour. This is a reasonable estimate for this role. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications such as skills, education and experience.

• Frequent standing, sitting, walking, handling, feeling with hands, reaching with arms. • Regular communication (hearing/speaking). • See details at close range (within a few feet of the observer) and ability to see details at a distance. • Able to move in narrow and restricted passageways, up/down steep and narrow ladders or stairways, and up and down antenna masts/yardarms (onboard ships). • Bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and/or legs. • Frequent stooping, kneeling, and crouching. • Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds. • Noise conditions range from very quiet to some noise. • Shipboard environment.
