We are hiring dependable and hardworking General Laborers to join a busy scrap metal recycling facility in Cleveland. This is a physically active position where you'll play a vital role in sorting materials, maintaining a clean work environment, and supporting daily yard operations. No previous scrap industry experience is required—we will train motivated individuals with a strong work ethic.
Responsibilities
Sort and separate ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metals
Pick materials from conveyors, containers, and scrap piles
Remove contaminants from scrap streams
Shovel scrap, dirt, dust, and debris into designated areas or processing equipment
Sweep and maintain clean, safe work areas throughout the facility
Assist equipment operators with material movement and cleanup
Load and unload materials using hand tools such as shovels, brooms, and magnets
Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements
Support daily housekeeping and material flow throughout the operation
Qualifications
Ability to perform physically demanding work in an industrial environment
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Ability to follow instructions and work well with a team
Manufacturing, warehouse, construction, demolition, landscaping, foundry, recycling, or labor experience is a plus
