Position Overview
We are looking for a dependable and hardworking General Laborer / Slitter Assistant to support production operations. This is a physical, hands-on role working in a steel processing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Band and secure cut steel coils for shipment
- Apply waterproof coverings and protective materials
- Count and verify product quantities for accuracy
- Move finished materials to staging areas
- Assist with shrink wrapping steel products
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Support slitting machine operators as needed
- Operate tow motor and overhead crane (experience required)
Requirements
- Previous manufacturing experience required
- Tow motor and overhead crane experience preferred
- Ability to lift 50–60 lbs regularly
- Strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a loud, industrial environment
- Ability to work in varying temperatures (hot/cold)
- Team-oriented with a good attitude
- Willingness to work overtime and start early when needed

- Exposure to large coils, cranes, and machinery
