Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable, hardworking, and versatile General Laborer / Machine Shop Assistant to join our 1st-shift production team. In this role, you will be a "jack-of-all-trades" on the shop floor, assisting with various metal fabrication tasks and machine operation. If you have a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and enjoy hands-on work where no two days are the same, we want you on our team!
No prior manufacturing experience? No problem! While previous shop experience is a plus, we are fully willing to train individuals with the right attitude and a desire to learn a valuable trade.
Key Responsibilities
Fabrication Support: Perform essential hands-on production tasks including drilling, tapping, countersinking, and deburring metal components.
Machine Operation: Assist in running various shop machinery and production equipment under direction.
Shop Versatility: Maintain a flexible attitude and a willingness to jump in and assist with a variety of tasks across the production floor as needed.
Quality & Safety: Visually inspect your work to ensure parts meet basic quality standards and strictly follow all workshop safety protocols.
Workplace Maintenance: Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe manufacturing environment.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience: Previous experience in a manufacturing, construction, or mechanical environment is preferred but not required-we will train the right candidate!
Aptitude: Comfortable working with basic hand tools and power tools.
Reliability: Excellent attendance, punctuality, and a strong work ethic are absolute musts.
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for the duration of an 8-hour shift and safely lift/manipulate fabrication materials.
Attributes: A positive attitude, strong teamwork skills, and a genuine eagerness to learn new machinery and processes.
