Job Title: General LaborerPosition Summary
GLS Staffing is seeking dependable and hardworking General Laborers for a variety of warehouse, manufacturing, and production opportunities. The General Laborer performs a wide range of physical tasks to support daily operations, including material handling, assembly, packaging, machine support, cleaning, and other duties as assigned. Successful candidates are reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform general labor duties in warehouse, manufacturing, or production environments.

  • Load, unload, move, and organize materials and products.

  • Assist with assembly, packaging, labeling, sorting, and palletizing.

  • Support machine operators and production personnel as needed.

  • Inspect products for quality and report defects or concerns.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

  • Follow all company and client safety policies and procedures.

  • Operate hand tools, pallet jacks, or other equipment as trained.

  • Meet daily productivity and quality expectations.

  • Work effectively with supervisors and team members.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.

  • Previous warehouse, manufacturing, or general labor experience is a plus but not required.

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

  • Strong work ethic with dependable attendance.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Willingness to learn and perform a variety of tasks.
Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach throughout the shift.

  • Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.

  • Perform repetitive movements with hands and arms.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Comfortable working in varying temperatures depending on the client location.
Work Environment

  • Warehouse, manufacturing, distribution, or production facilities.

  • Exposure to moving equipment, machinery, and varying noise levels.

  • Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as determined by the client, which may include safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, or steel-toe footwear.
