Job Title: General LaborerPosition Summary
GLS Staffing is seeking dependable and hardworking General Laborers for a variety of warehouse, manufacturing, and production opportunities. The General Laborer performs a wide range of physical tasks to support daily operations, including material handling, assembly, packaging, machine support, cleaning, and other duties as assigned. Successful candidates are reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Perform general labor duties in warehouse, manufacturing, or production environments.
Load, unload, move, and organize materials and products.
Assist with assembly, packaging, labeling, sorting, and palletizing.
Support machine operators and production personnel as needed.
Inspect products for quality and report defects or concerns.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Follow all company and client safety policies and procedures.
Operate hand tools, pallet jacks, or other equipment as trained.
Meet daily productivity and quality expectations.
Work effectively with supervisors and team members.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
Previous warehouse, manufacturing, or general labor experience is a plus but not required.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Strong work ethic with dependable attendance.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to learn and perform a variety of tasks.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach throughout the shift.
Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
Perform repetitive movements with hands and arms.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Comfortable working in varying temperatures depending on the client location.
Work Environment
Warehouse, manufacturing, distribution, or production facilities.
Exposure to moving equipment, machinery, and varying noise levels.
Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as determined by the client, which may include safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, or steel-toe footwear.
