Job Description:
The General Laborer responsibilities include supporting production operations under the Production Team Leader while maintaining a clean and safe work area. Duties include inspecting, packing, sealing, labeling, and transporting products according to specifications, reporting safety or quality issues, and performing multiple tasks in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
-Cold warehouse environment experience requiered
-Food processing experience preferred

Pay Range: $15.74 - $15.74 per hour 

Shift: Inquire about shift availability

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
-Work under the direction of the Production Team Leader
-Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work area
-Follow food safety, quality, and safety procedures (GMPs, PPE, HACCP)
-Inspect products and remove defective materials as needed
-Report quality issues, foreign objects, safety concerns, and mechanical problems
-Pack products into bags or trays according to customer specifications
-Seal finished goods using a vacuum sealer and verify seal integrity
-Print and verify code dates and labels for accuracy
-Transport packaging materials safely using a metal platform cart
-Perform multiple tasks as assigned in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Job Requirements:
-High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required
-No prior experience required
-Ability to read and interpret instructions and accurately complete forms
-Basic math skills, including adding, subtracting, counting, multiplying, and dividing
-Intermediate reasoning skills with the ability to follow written and oral instructions
-Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
-Ability to kneel, bend, and occasionally lift up to 30 pounds
-Willingness to work in a refrigerated, cold/wet environment (approximately 38°F)
-Willingness to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
-Ability to work professionally and courteously in a diverse, team-oriented environment
-Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office preferred
-Willingness to be trained on the safe operation of production equipment, including vacuum sealers, tape machines, cable cutters, and food-grade knives
-Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test and employment history check
