Job Summary
The General Laborer supports daily production operations by assisting skilled operators, handling materials, maintaining a clean work environment, and performing basic manufacturing tasks. This is an entry-level position with opportunities to learn and grow within a metal manufacturing setting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assist machine operators and fabricators with production tasks
Load, unload, and move raw materials and finished parts throughout the shop
Perform basic assembly, sorting, and packaging of metal components
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Remove scrap material and dispose of waste properly
Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Accurately measure parts using a tape measure to ensure quality and specifications
Perform other general labor duties as assigned
Qualifications
Must be able to read a tape measure very well (required)
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
Dependable and punctual
Able to stand for long periods and perform physical work, including lifting
Willingness to learn and work as part of a team
Previous manufacturing or shop experience is a plus, but not required
