Job Summary

The Industrial Pipe Coating Facility Labor Hand is responsible for assisting in the preparation, coating, and finishing of industrial pipes according to company standards and customer specifications. This position requires physical labor, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with loading and unloading industrial pipe for coating operations.
• Prepare pipe surfaces by cleaning, sanding, or blasting to ensure proper coating adhesion.
• Operate and assist with coating equipment under supervision.
• Inspect coated pipe for quality, defects, and irregularities.
• Follow all safety procedures, including proper PPE and chemical-handling requirements.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Assist other team members to meet production schedules and deadlines.

Qualifications & Skills

• Must be bilingual - English/Spanish.
• Previous industrial, pipe yard, manufacturing, coating, sandblasting, or production experience is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Comfortable performing physically demanding work.
• Basic knowledge of hand tools and industrial equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Good mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn new equipment, processes, and procedures.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Work Conditions

Position involves working in an industrial environment with potential exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, and production equipment. Employees must wear required protective equipment, which may include gloves, safety glasses/goggles, respirators, and other PPE. Overtime and weekend work may be required based on production needs.
