We serve the industrial market segment worldwide. We are searching for a candidate who is a team player with a can-do attitude who enjoys a challenge. This is a full-time opportunity working for a world class hardwood lumber manufacturer.

Position Summary:

Northwest Hardwoods is seeking dependable, safety-focused General Laborers to support production operations at our Longview, WA facility. This position performs hands-on work throughout the mill, including handling lumber, maintaining product flow, cleaning work areas, operating equipment as trained, and cross-training in other production roles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work safely and follow all NWH safety policies, procedures, and work rules
• Handle, sort, stack, and move lumber by dimension, species, and grade
• Support safe and efficient product flow throughout the production process
• Use hand tools, wheelbarrows, and other equipment to clean sawmill debris and maintain work areas
• Operate mobile equipment as trained and authorized
• Maintain awareness of surroundings and make quick, safe decisions in a fast-paced production environment
• Cross-train in other production positions as needed
• Maintain good housekeeping and support a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Work cooperatively with team members, supervisors, and other departments

Requirements

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Strong commitment to safety
• Dependable with excellent attendance
• Positive attitude and ability to work well in a team environment
• Ability to work at a fast pace while maintaining attention to detail
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding work throughout the shift
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, and work in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment at all times
• Willingness to learn, cross-train, and work in different areas of the facility
• Pre-employment drug screen and background check required
