Shift: 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM + Overtime available. (M-F)

Responsibilities: Applicants could be required to do any of the following:

• The individuals working in this position are responsible for the final inspection, touch up and packaging of galvanized material
• This position will report directly to the Production Supervisor
• All material dipped will be weighed and recorded on a standard report and turned into the Production Supervisor
• Inspect and ensure the safe use and disposition of production fixtures, chains and hooks
• Use of hand tools, Overhead Crane, cutting torch, files, brushes, banding tools and a forklift
• Move lightweight pieces of steel by hand from different locations in the plant and yard
• Use air or electric powered tools to help prepare or clean up steel
• Assist in general plant clean up and housekeeping
• Work safely, protecting self and others from accident and injury

Qualifications:

• The ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions
• The ability to accurately read a tape measure
• The ability to communicate problems or needs to departmental supervision
• The ability to lift up to 50 pounds from ground to shoulder height or higher
• Must be a physically able to stand for long periods of time (length of shift) in open air environment; wear PPE; maintain safe work environment
• Must have a high awareness for safety at all times
