Do you have packaging experience and looking for a fresh start? Luttrell Staffing Group is currently hiring General Labor / Processing Plant Packer positions in Abingdon, VA.

Details for General Labor / Processing Plant Packer Position:

  • $14.75 / Hour

  • Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire

Job Duties for General Labor / Processing Plant Packer Position:
  • Pack eggs into cartons, racks, pallets, or boxes based on production needs

  • Verify correct cartons, proper closure, and accurate labeling/printing

  • Place finished boxes onto designated pallets from production line

  • Inspect eggs, removing and replacing damaged or incorrect sizes

  • Remove dirty eggs for re-washing

  • Dispose of trash at end of each shift

  • Clean and sanitize work area and equipment daily

  • Follow all company policies and procedures

  • Complete additional duties as assigned by Plant Manager or as needed

Qualifications and Desired Skills for General Labor / Processing Plant Packer Position:
  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Forklift and/or pallet jack experience preferred

  • Ability to work weekends as needed

  • Team-oriented with ability to follow verbal and written instructions

  • Effective time management skills

  • Ability to stand for extended periods, including full shifts

  • Ability to perform repetitive hand movements and tasks

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly

  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, twist, reach, and lift repetitively
