Penmac Staffing is hiring a General Labor for a full-time opportunity with a local recycling and processing facility. This hands-on position is ideal for individuals who enjoy physical work and want to be part of a team focused on processing and recycling organic materials safely and efficiently. As a General Laborer, you will assist with unloading trucks, sorting materials, operating around processing equipment, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. This role offers steady daytime hours and the opportunity to work with an established operation.Requirements

- Ability to safely lift, push, pull, and move materials weighing over 100 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and perform physical labor for extended periods
- Strong attention to safety procedures and workplace cleanliness
- Reliable attendance and dependable work ethic
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Responsibilities
- Assist with unloading trucks containing organic waste and recyclable products
- Open boxes and containers of materials for processing
- Help feed plastic products and containers into shredding equipment
- Process and prepare materials for appropriate recycling methods
- Hose down work areas and drains as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of equipment, workspaces, and facility grounds
- Use all required personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety equipment
- Report safety concerns, equipment damage, or maintenance needs to management
- Complete required reports accurately and on time
- Maintain positive working relationships with customers, vendors, and team members
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb for extended periods
- Frequent use of hands and arms to handle materials and equipment
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and move materials weighing over 100 pounds
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors as needed
- Capability to work in a physically demanding environment throughout the shift
Schedule & Pay
- Full-time
- Monday through Friday
- 6:45 AM to 4:00 PM
- Pay: $15.00 per hour
