General Laborer

General Labor – Construction Site (Austin, TX)
$12–$14 per hour | Full-Time & Part-Time Available

HireQuest Direct is currently hiring dependable General Laborers for active construction sites in the Austin, TX area. We are looking for individuals who are ready to work, follow directions, and contribute to maintaining safe and clean job sites.

Position Overview:

This role involves general construction site support and cleanup duties. Candidates may be assigned to various job sites and will assist with keeping work areas clean, safe, and organized throughout the day.

Job Duties:

• General construction site cleanup and debris removal
• Sweeping work areas, walkways, and common spaces
• Picking up and disposing of trash and construction materials
• Assisting skilled tradesmen and site supervisors as needed
• Moving materials and keeping job sites organized
• Using basic cleanup tools as required (broom, shovel, etc.)
• Following all site safety rules and instructions

Requirements:

• Must be reliable and ready to work scheduled shifts
• Ability to perform physical labor in outdoor environments
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift
• Must follow directions and work well in a team setting
• Must have reliable transportation to job sites

PPE Requirements:

• Steel Toe Boots
• High Visibility Vest
• Hard Hat
• Work Gloves
• Safety Glasses

OSHA Requirement:

• OSHA 10 preferred but NOT required
• Candidates without OSHA 10 are still encouraged to apply
• OSHA training may be provided or required after placement depending on assignment

Schedule & Pay:

• $12–$14 per hour based on experience
• Full-time and part-time shifts available
