American Boring Inc. is seeking a dependable and hardworking General Laborer to support underground utility and horizontal directional drilling operations. This position involves physical, hands-on work assisting with excavation, material handling, job site preparation, and supporting field crews on underground utility construction projects.
The ideal candidate is safety-focused, reliable, and willing to work in a fast-paced outdoor construction environment.
Essential Duties
Assist with trenching, conduit installation, pipe placement, and backfilling operations
Load and unload tools, materials, and construction equipment
Support drill operators, equipment operators, and utility crews on job sites
Operate hand tools and small construction equipment safely and effectively
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations
Perform general labor and construction tasks as assigned by foreman or management
Assist with traffic control, site cleanup, and material handling as needed
Qualifications
Previous construction or underground utility experience preferred but not required
Ability to safely operate hand tools and small equipment
Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Must be safety-conscious and able to follow directions
Ability to pass a drug screening
Clean driving record preferred
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work on uneven terrain
Ability to perform physically demanding labor for extended periods
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Work Environment
Outdoor construction and underground utility job sites
