Job Summary
We are seeking a General Laborer to join our team. In this role, you will preform manual labor tasks. This will include keeping the worksite clean through the collection of trash, operating power tools, setting up temporary structures, or other necessary tasks. Experience in tasks like siding, window installation, door installation, and knowledge of how to use a break is preferred. The ideal candidate is a hard worker with the ability to meet the physical demands of the job.  You must work well with others and aim to always work as a team

Responsibilities 

• Maintain a clean work environment by picking up trash, excess building materials, or other potentially hazardous products
• Provide assistance to onsite tradespeople such as sub crews, and carpenters
• Preform daily job tasks efficiently 
• Transport materials and equipment from one location to another
• Operate power tools and/or industrial equipment
• Set up cones, warning signs, and any other necessary material to increase visibility 
• Construct, transfer, and tear down temporary structures such as scaffolding
• Other manual labor tasks as required by the foreman or supervisor
• Report any unsafe conditions or equipment in need of repair

Qualifications

• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting heavy objects, digging, and standing for long periods
• NYS License and transportation to job sites.
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent hand-eye coordination
• AT LEAST 1 year experience on a construction crew
• Knowledge of how to use a metal break and how to coil windows/doors
• Ability to adhere to all safety rules and regulations
• Knowledge of power tools and industrial machinery is preferred
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
• Additional certifications or apprenticeship experience is preferred but not necessary
