Customer Pickup / Warehouse Associate – Tire Distribution
Pay: $20/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:45 AM–Finish
Training: Some Saturdays, 8:00 AM–12:00 PM, may be required during initial training
Start Time: May vary based on production volume
Busy Season: Must be flexible to start as early as 6:45 AM and work extended shifts, including 12+ hour days, during peak fall and winter months.
Position Overview
Our client is a busy tire distribution warehouse looking for a dependable Customer Pickup / Warehouse Associate to join their team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a combination of warehouse work, equipment operation, and customer interaction.
The primary responsibility will be working in the customer pickup area, where you will pull customer orders, safely move tires using an electric pallet jack, stage orders, and assist customers when they arrive to pick up their products. You will also communicate with warehouse personnel to ensure orders are located and ready for pickup in a timely manner.
This is a fast-paced, physical position that requires someone who is comfortable working on their feet, operating warehouse equipment, and providing professional customer service.
Job Responsibilities
- Pull and prepare customer tire orders for pickup
- Operate an electric pallet jack to safely move and stage tires
- Assist customers when they arrive for pickup
- Verify customer orders and ensure the correct products are provided
- Load tires into customer vehicles as needed
- Communicate professionally with customers and warehouse staff
- Locate and retrieve tires throughout the warehouse
- Move and stage customer orders in the designated pickup area
- Assist with receiving, stocking, and general warehouse duties during slower periods
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe customer pickup area
- Follow all warehouse safety procedures and equipment guidelines
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse or distribution experience preferred
- Electric pallet jack experience strongly preferred
- Comfortable interacting with customers in a professional and helpful manner
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable performing physical work throughout the shift
- Able to repeatedly lift, carry, push, and pull tires
- Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
- Dependable, punctual, and reliable
- Able to follow directions and work effectively with a team
- Forklift or cherry picker experience is a plus
- Must be flexible with start times and extended hours during busy season
- Must be willing to work occasional Saturdays during initial training
