Job Overview
OneSource Staffing is seeking a reliable and hardworking General Laborer to support our client’s manufacturing team in Phillipsburg, NJ. This position involves production assistance, facility and equipment upkeep, material handling, and general housekeeping. The ideal candidate is safety-minded, physically capable, and able to follow instructions while supporting both production staff and skilled trades.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of equipment and machinery
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Assist with basic building and grounds maintenance when needed
- Support skilled operators, electricians, and other team members
- Assist with snow removal and salting during winter months
Skills
- Safely load, unload, and move materials using pallet jacks and other tools
- Build or dismantle pallets and crates as needed
- Sort and prepare materials for reuse, recycling, or disposal
- Provide additional support to the loading dock team when required
- Follow all company safety protocols and wear required PPE
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation as needed
- Report hazards, incidents, or equipment issues immediately
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and perform physical labor throughout the shift
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Basic math skills
- Familiarity with general safety procedures and PPE usage
- Experience operating powered pallet jacks
- Ability to shift priorities quickly and resume tasks effectively
