Overview
We are currently hiring General Laborers to support our Port Manatee operations. This is a great opportunity for a dependable, hands-on individual who enjoys working in an active, team-oriented environment. Must be willing to perform loading, unloading duties, cleaning tasks and operate some small machines, work around water preparing cargo and following safety guidelines. Must be able to work overtime, nights and weekends while working in all weather conditions.
Responsibilities
Prepare cargo for loading/unloading Follow loading plans Operate small equipment as instructed General housekeeping duties to maintain a safe work environment Heavy lifting duties Observe all safety rules and use good safety work habits.
Qualifications
Qualifications: High School Graduate or GED. Able to work around water Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly throughout a shift Attention to detail and safety protocols Able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing Able to present information in one-on-one group situations with fellow employees and customers Must have valid driver's license and ability to obtain a TWIC card.
