Job Description
Mancan is working with a company in Bellville seeking a general laborer to train to become a CNC operator. This is a temp to hire opportunity for the right candidate based on attitude, attendance, and performance. Hours will be either Monday-Friday, 6am-2:30pm or Monday-Thursday, 2:30pm-12:30am. Pay is based on experience, $15-$16/hour.
Key Responsibilities:
- Move materials, parts, and finished products throughout the shop.
- Perform basic assembly, deburring, sanding, cleaning, and packaging of machined parts.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment safely.
- Assist machine operators and setup personnel as needed.
- Learn CNC machining principles, shop procedures, and manufacturing processes.
- Learn to read blueprints, work orders, and basic technical drawings.
- Measure parts using calipers, micrometers, and other inspection tools.
- Learn machine operation, tooling, offsets, and basic machine adjustments.
Qualifications
- Mechanical aptitude and interest in manufacturing
- Ability to learn quickly and follow instructions.
- Strong work ethic and reliable attendance.
- Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math calculations.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
