General Laborer

EMR is hiring a general laborer to work in our New Orleans, LA depot! If you're looking for a great opportunity that will allow you to enter the recycling industry we thank you for your consideration.

ResponsibilitiesAssist in metal sorting

Assist with ELV (end of life vehicles

• Assist in housekeeping
• Ensure a clean and orderly workplace
• Clean and prepare sites by removing debris and possible hazards
• Adhere to operating and health and safety protocols
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Ability to use variety of hand tools such as snip cutters, brooms, and shovels, etc.
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently
• Ability to work overhead, climb ladders, kneel, and stand for long periods
• Ability to perform all physical, mental and environmental job functions
• Ability to work in all elements such as rain, cold, and heat
• Ability to handle stressful situations, manages time, and multitasks
• Ability to pass a criminal background check, physical, and drug screening
