Hidden Valley Transfer Station, a Waste Connections company, is seeking a dependable, safety-minded General Laborer to join our team in Puyallup, WA.

Starting Pay: $22.00-$23.50/hour Full-Time Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday | 7:30 AM-6:00 PM with opportunities for overtime.

This hands-on outdoor position plays an important role in keeping our facility operating safely and efficiently. You'll assist customers, direct traffic, keep the site clean, and help ensure a positive experience for everyone who visits our facility.

What You'll Do

• Direct customer and commercial vehicle traffic throughout the facility
• Greet and assist customers in a professional and friendly manner
• Answer questions regarding site operations and disposal areas
• Maintain safe traffic flow within the transfer station
• Pick up litter and perform general site cleanup
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe facility
• Identify and report safety concerns
• Operate company vehicles as authorized
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards
• Perform other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

This is an active outdoor position that requires employees to:

• Stand and walk for extended periods, up to 10-hour shifts
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions, including rain, heat, cold, wind, and dust
• Frequently bend, stoop, twist, push, pull, and reach
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Work safely around moving vehicles and heavy equipment
• Maintain awareness of surroundings in a busy operational environment

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required
• Good driving record required
• Ability to safely operate company vehicles
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
