General Laborer

SNELLING is seeking a dependable General Laborer to provide hands-on support for a local organization. This person will serve as an extra helping hand and assist with landscaping, basic facility maintenance, cleanup, and other duties as needed. The ideal candidate is hardworking, flexible, able to follow instructions, and comfortable working outdoors in the Texas heat.

This General Laborer position will be Temporary, meaning that SNELLING would work with you through the consideration and interview process and SNELLING would be your employer for the time of the project. Pay will be $15.00/hr.

Job Responsibilities

• Mow lawns and perform general landscaping duties
• Weed, trim, rake, and maintain outdoor areas
• Pick up trash and keep properties clean and presentable
• Assist with changing light bulbs and completing basic facility repairs
• Move equipment, supplies, and materials as directed
• Help organize storage and work areas
• Perform general cleaning and maintenance tasks
• Safely use basic hand tools and lawn-care equipment
• Assist with projects and other duties as assigned
• Follow all instructions and workplace safety procedures

Qualifications

• Dependable, punctual, and ready to work
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Able to listen, follow instructions, and complete assigned tasks
• Willing to take initiative and help wherever needed
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
• Basic knowledge of landscaping, maintenance, or hand tools is helpful
• Previous general labor, lawn care, or maintenance experience is preferred but not required

Physical and Work Environment Requirements

• Must be comfortable working outdoors in hot, cold, or changing weather conditions
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, and remain active throughout the shift
• Ability to safely lift and carry tools, equipment, and materials
• Comfortable performing physical and repetitive work
• Must be willing to work indoors or outdoors based on daily needs
