Position SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated General Ledger Accountant to join our accounting team. This role is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the general ledger, supporting the month-end close process, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and thrives in a collaborative environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and completeness.Perform monthly account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.Assist with month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close processes.Maintain the general ledger and ensure transactions are recorded in accordance with GAAP.Analyze financial data and investigate variances.Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for financial reporting.Assist with internal and external audits by providing requested documentation.Support fixed asset accounting, accruals, prepaid expenses, and intercompany transactions.Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls.Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and increase efficiency.Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support financial reporting and operational initiatives.Assist with special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as needed.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.2‑5 years of general ledger or corporate accounting experience.Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.Experience with month‑end close and account reconciliations.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP preferred).Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.Preferred SkillsCPA or CPA‑eligible preferred but not required.Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross‑functional teams.Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain financial information to non‑financial stakeholders.What You'll BringA proactive mindset with a desire to improve processes.A high level of accuracy and accountability.The ability to manage deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.A collaborative approach and willingness to support the broader finance and accounting team.Compensation and BenefitsThe salary range for this role is specified in this job posting and may include discretionary bonuses.
