General Ledger Accountant

Primary Purpose

This position will support the Controller and perform month-end close, daily and weekly reporting, administer the Project Costing system, capital expenditure request (CER) set-ups, account reconciliations, budgeting and maintaining general ledger accuracy and visibility to the appropriate internal stakeholders.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

• Completes month-end close functions including Journal entries and publishing month-end reports as well as account reconciliations. Prepares ad-hoc reporting as needed. Assists with month-end reporting and tracking commodity inventory.
• Maintains and supports Project Costing to include user support and assistance as needed.
• Schedules and prepares monthly cost reviews for customer visibility of details.
• Continues to learn about industry-developing competency and commitment.
• Promotes and maintains a safe and secure work environment in accordance with Mountaire policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor''s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 2 - 3 years'' experience in a related field.
• Proficient in Excel and the ability to learn new systems.
• Demonstrated presentation skills.
