Relocation assistance is not available.Job OverviewThe General Ledger Manager will oversee financial close processes, ensure reporting accuracy, and maintain compliance within a government contracting environment. This role focuses on improving close efficiency and supporting audit readiness.ResponsibilitiesEssential Job DutiesLead the development and scaling of a high‑performing team, cultivating a data‑driven culture, driving change and automation, ensuring transparency, and maintaining a strong focus on meeting the needs of both internal and external customersEstablish and maintain strong internal financial controls to ensure accurate reportingResponsible for transaction accuracy, compliance, and ensuring legal and regulatory compliance, including FAR, CAS, and GAAP, regarding all accounting functionsAssist with the preparation of annual indirect rate budgets, provide reporting, and support the development of forecastsResponsible for general ledger and balance sheet managementManage audits from external agencies, including DCAA, IRS, outside CPA firms, regulatory agencies, and Incurred Cost SubmissionsOversee the timely submission of all federal, state, and local tax filing requirements, ensuring strict compliance with regulations. Collaborate with and support taxLead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processesReconcile and maintain cost pools. Collaborate with other departments including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and Projects ControlsIdentify and implement improvements in accounting processes to increase efficiency and accuracyOther related duties as assigned.Job RequirementsMandatoryBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance requiredAt least 6-10 years progressively responsible management positions within the government contracting industryExpertise with cost pool allocationsExcellent interpersonal and coaching skillsIntermediate to Expert level proficiency with Microsoft Excel requiredWorking knowledge of GAAP, working knowledge of government contracting rules and regulations, and Cost Accounting Standards a plusHigh level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results‑orientationOutstanding accounting skills with attention to detail and accuracyDeveloped problem‑solving and analytical abilitiesAbility to multi‑task and manage time accordingly to meet deadlinesAbility to work independentlyExcellent presentation & communication skills in both oral and written formPreferredCPA or CMA PreferredExperience with Lawson and Oracle FusionDisclosuresChugach Government Solutions is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
