About the Role

A growing national defense firm is looking for an experienced general liability litigator to join their Chicago office. This is a hands-on litigation role with real courtroom responsibility, direct partner access, and a clear path for senior attorneys ready to take on a meaningful role at a firm that is actively expanding its footprint.

What You Will Do

• Manage a general liability defense docket from intake through trial including depositions, motion practice, mediations, and arbitrations
• Handle auto and GL defense matters across a diverse book of carrier and self-insured clients
• Work directly with partners and clients on case strategy and exposure evaluations
• Gig economy and transportation network company defense experience is a strong plus
• Mentor junior associates and contribute to a growing practice group

What We Are Looking For

• JD from an accredited law school
• Active Illinois Bar license in good standing
• 2 or more years of civil litigation experience with a strong general liability defense background
• Comfortable managing complex files independently while collaborating with senior partners
• Gig economy, rideshare, or transportation network company defense experience highly valued
• Strong courtroom presence and deposition experience
