Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience - Requires job related accreditation from a technical school or an applicable skilled trades program and 2 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.

Job Duties
Job Duty - Under limited supervision, maintains and implements a safe and effective corrective maintenance program for complex operations involving carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems within assigned buildings. Responsibilities include submitting, receiving, and accurately processing work orders; coordinating with supervisors and coworkers; and performing tasks such as planning, inspecting, verifying, communicating, and resolving facility maintenance issues. Ensures that all facility systems remain in safe working order and compliant with applicable national and local codes, while consistently demonstrating professionalism in conduct, appearance, and work practices.
Job Duty - Assists in coordinating the installation of new and modified maintenances related systems under the direction of the supervisor. Responsibilities include reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and drawings; consulting with University Project Managers, contractors, and subcontractors to provide information on existing systems that may be affected by construction or renovation projects; offering guidance on requirements for future projects; and troubleshooting new or modified systems to ensure proper functionality and compliance with operational standards.
Job Duty - Provides exceptional customer service by taking personal initiative to identify and resolve issues whenever possible, while fostering strong communication and collaboration with building occupants and stakeholders. Develops and maintains effective customer service practices, including proactive communication, timely notifications, and participation in process reviews. Ensures that assigned facility systems and customer needs are met whenever possible; refers complex or escalated issues to the supervisor; and assists in planning and scheduling maintenance work with customers in advance to minimize disruptions.
Job Duty - Performs administrative tasks to support efficient maintenance operations, including maintaining and accurately completing daily time sheets in the CMMS and HCM systems, and recording detailed notes on all work performed across related systems. Assists with facilities inventory control by requesting, receiving, and monitoring maintenance supplies, materials, and tools from Consolidated Supplies and external vendors, following established procurement policies and procedures. Participates in meetings and training sessions related to customer service, safety, and continuous improvement to support departmental goals and professional development.
