Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team as a General Maintenance worker for our District Wide operations. This full-time position requires a proactive and reliable individual who can perform various maintenance and repair tasks to ensure our facilities are safe, functional, and well-maintained. The successful candidate will work during the 1st shift and contribute to a positive environment for both staff and students.
Responsibilities
Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of buildings and grounds to ensure safety and functionality.
Perform minor repairs on plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other systems as needed.
Assist in the setup and breakdown of facilities for events and activities.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas and tools.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
Collaborate with other maintenance staff to complete larger projects and repairs.
Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
Follow safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the maintenance supervisor.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in general maintenance or a related field preferred.
Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Physical ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and perform manual labor.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required.
Availability to work flexible hours, including overtime if necessary.
