As a General Maintenance Technician, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining a clean and functional campus environment. Youll work closely with your supervisor and team to ensure that daily operations run smoothly and efficiently.
What You'll DoAs a General Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for:
- Driving to each building on campus to empty trash cans in the service areas into designated collection bins (including cardboard, plastic, and metal)
- Sorting and properly disposing of materials to support a clean and organized environment
- Performing quick facility upkeep tasks such as changing light bulbs and tidying up spills
- Assisting with event setup and post-event cleanup to ensure spaces are ready for employees and guests
- Reporting plumbing or electrical issues to qualified professionals (note: this role focuses on cleaning and maintenance coordination, not repairs)
What You'll BringThe ideal candidate for this role will have:
- Valid drivers license and the ability to operate a company vehicle
- Experience in janitorial and general maintenance roles (helpful for understanding the scope of duties)
- Comfort lifting up to 50 lbs, repetitive bending, and walking in an automotive-style environment
- A proactive, detail-oriented attitude to keep the campus clean and organized during operational hours
