We are seeking dependable and hardworking General Maintenance candidates to maintain the appearance, safety, and functionality of our warehouse facilities and surrounding grounds. This position is primarily responsible for landscaping and grounds maintenance during the spring, summer, and fall, including maintaining multiple company properties. During the winter months, the primary responsibility shifts to snow and ice removal to ensure safe access to our facilities. When snow removal is not required, the employee will perform general building maintenance, facility upkeep, and other maintenance-related projects as assigned.

This position requires flexibility, as snow and ice events are weather-dependent and may require early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, or extended work hours to ensure company facilities remain safe and operational.

This position reports to the Facilities Manager (or designated supervisor) and plays a key role in maintaining safe, efficient, and well-maintained facilities.

Key Responsibilities

Landscaping & Grounds Maintenance (Primary Responsibility –Spring, Summer & Fall)
  • Perform lawn mowing, trimming, edging, mulching, pruning, and other landscaping duties.
  • Maintain the appearance of company grounds, parking lots, sidewalks, and landscaped areas.
  • Remove leaves, weeds, debris, and litter from company properties.
  • Operate landscaping equipment and tools safely and effectively.
  • Assist with seasonal grounds maintenance to maintain safe and attractive facilities.

Snow Removal (Primary Responsibility –Winter)
  • Perform snow and ice removal from parking lots, sidewalks, entrances, loading docks, and designated areas.
  • Operate snow removal equipment and tools safely and effectively.
  • Apply salt or de-icing materials as needed.
  • Monitor weather conditions and respond promptly to snow and ice events.
  • Be available for early morning, evening, weekend, holiday, or extended work hours during snow events as required to maintain safe facility access.

Building Maintenance (Performed When Snow Removal Is Not Required)
  • Perform general building maintenance and facility upkeep.
  • Assist with preventative maintenance and facility improvement projects.
  • Complete maintenance-related tasks as assigned.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform other maintenance duties as assigned.

General Labor & Facility Support
  • Assist with general labor tasks including moving materials, minor repairs, and facility upkeep.
  • Assist with special maintenance or improvement projects as assigned.
  • Support cross-functional teams as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior landscaping, snow removal, general maintenance, or general labor experience preferred.
  • Experience with light electrical or plumbing work is a plus.

Skills & Competencies
  • Ability to operate landscaping and snow removal equipment safely.
  • Strong work ethic and reliability.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude preferred.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work assignments and adapt to changing maintenance needs.

Additional Requirements
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Good driving record.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Must reside in the Northeast Ohio area.
  • Ability to lift 50–60 lbs.
  • Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions, including heat, rain, cold, and snow.
  • Must be available to work flexible schedules, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours during snow and ice events.
