Maintenance Technicians perform daily functions to support the facility and maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, visitors and staff. As a Mechanic on our Plant Operations team, you have important contact with patients and clinical staff every day. Your mechanical aptitude and knowledge in facility and plant operations are an opportunity to be a part of something bigger. Your commitment to service, safety and professionalism will contribute to achieving the best experience for our patients.
What you will do in this role
You will ensure patient, visitor and colleague safety by maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment by adhering to Safety Program and Infection Control protocols and programs.
You will carry out scheduled preventative maintenance programs for the facility’s equipment and make repairs as required.
You will perform routine and specific assignments such as minor repair of plumbing, HVAC, walls, fire and smoke walls, doors, flooring, ceilings, electrical, medical gas, and other hospital systems and equipment.
You will complete computer-generated preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment in facility and other buildings associated with the hospital.
You will maintain daily logs of complete and incomplete work orders and manage work assignments to meet the needs of the customers served.
You will communicate effectively to management regarding the needs for specific materials, supplies, or tools as well as required equipment ‘down-time’ that may affect either the patient, visitor, or staff population in a given area of the facility.
