Work directly for a Hartford County, CT manufacturer of stampings, machined components and assemblies. This organization is seeking a dependable General Maintenance Technician to handle a variety of hands-on facility maintenance projects. This is a great opportunity for a versatile handyman with experience in carpentry, painting, minor plumbing, general repairs, and safe power tool use.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
-Perform general facility maintenance, including painting, carpentry, repairs, and upkeep.
-Safely operate hand tools, electric saws, and other power tools to complete maintenance projects.
-Handle a variety of general handyman tasks and respond to maintenance needs throughout the property.
-Complete projects independently while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Requirements
-Approximately 2-5 years of hands-on general maintenance or handyman experience.
-Experience with carpentry, painting, minor plumbing, and general facility maintenance.
-Experience safely using hand tools and electric saws.
-Dependable, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently on a variety of tasks.
Preferences
-Basic plumbing experience.
-Experience maintaining both commercial facilities and residential properties.
Schedule & Compensation
-1st Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
-$20-$25/hour, based on experience
