    Job Description

White Bark Property Management is looking for a reliable, skilled Handyman with a focus on Building Maintenance & Property Improvements to support ongoing maintenance across our residential and commercial properties. We’re seeking someone who is versatile, takes pride in quality work, and brings strong hands-on experience. This role is ideal for a problem-solver who enjoys variety in their workday and can handle both scheduled maintenance and on-the-spot repairs.

    What You’ll Do

    • General Building Maintenance: Perform general repairs and maintenance across multiple properties, ensuring buildings are safe, functional, and well-maintained. Repair walls, ceilings, floors, doors, windows, hardware, and interior fixtures.
    • Plumbing: Handle minor plumbing issues such as leak detection, fixture replacement, toilet repairs, and clearing simple clogs.
    • Electrical: Replace light fixtures, switches, and outlets, and perform basic troubleshooting (major work handled by licensed electricians).
    • Carpentry: Perform light framing, trim installation, cabinet repairs, and general wood repairs.
    • Masonry Work: Complete brick, block, concrete, pointing, patching, and stucco repairs.
    • Painting: Complete touch-ups and small painting jobs to keep properties in top condition.
    • Exterior Maintenance: Assist with grounds work, minor landscaping tasks, seasonal upkeep, and debris removal.
    • Conduct regular property inspections to identify issues before they escalate.
    • Respond quickly and professionally to maintenance requests from tenants and property managers.
    • Diagnose issues accurately and determine the most efficient, cost-effective repair solutions.
    • Maintain a clean workspace, properly store tools, and track materials and time for each project.
    • Follow all safety guidelines and ensure work complies with building codes and regulations.
    • Communicate clearly with property managers, tenants, and team members to ensure positive service.
    What You Bring

    • Proven experience as a Handyman or general maintenance technician, ideally with commercial or multi-unit property experience.
    • Strong, demonstrable masonry skills—including brick, block, concrete, and stucco repair.
    • Solid understanding of building maintenance fundamentals: plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting.
    • Ability to troubleshoot issues and recommend effective solutions.
    • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and standard maintenance equipment.
    • High attention to detail and a commitment to doing the job right the first time.
    • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
    • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certifications are a plus.
    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly.
    • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, climb ladders, and work in elevated or confined spaces.
    • Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.

    Compensation: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
