Penmac Staffing is seeking a dependable General Maintenance Technician for a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity. This position supports facility operations by performing a variety of maintenance tasks, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general building repairs. If you enjoy hands-on work and have a strong maintenance background, this could be an excellent long-term opportunity.Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Five (5) years of related maintenance experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- License or certification in electrical, HVAC, mechanics, or welding preferred
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to maintain maintenance records and logs
- Must be willing to respond to routine and emergency repair requests
Responsibilities
- Perform general repair and maintenance on buildings, facilities, structures, and equipment
- Complete preventive maintenance according to established schedules
- Assist with projects involving electrical, plumbing, flooring, roofing, drywall, HVAC, carpentry, and masonry work
- Respond to maintenance requests and perform routine repairs and adjustments
- Install shelving, bulletin boards, and other facility fixtures
- Repair desks, chairs, furniture, and equipment
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
- Attend assigned meetings and comply with departmental policies
- Submit time-off requests using company computer systems
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing, walking, reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, crawling, and climbing
- Ability to lift and move up to 60 pounds occasionally
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, and loud work environments
- Ability to work around electrical systems, heights, and industrial equipment safely
Schedule & Pay
- Full-time
- Monday through Friday
- 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- Pay: $20.00 per hour
