Position Summary
The Maintenance technicians primary responsibility is to perform general maintenance repairs wastewater treatment duties and support technicians as needed. The position will also perform all duties related to our recycling initiative.
Building Repairs and Maintenance
Essential Position Functions
• Operate forklift • Perform daily wastewater activities to ensure regulatory compliance • Work with chemicals used in the wastewater treatment process
Building Repairs and Improvements
• Building repairs and improvements such as but not limited to: • Carpentry • Plumbing repair and replace fixtures • Painting • Work alongside other technicians for repairs to ensure safety and quality
Use of Hand Tools
• Maintaining poise, professionalism, and working independently without supervision.
Education and Experience
Education
• High school education or equivalent • Forklift Certified • Proficient at operating a forklift • Basic plumbing and carpentry • Basic electrical a plus
Experience
• Ability to interact with employees of all levels and backgrounds • Lifting of up to 50 lbs. and manipulating bulky material • Strong Electronic PLC controls and Electrical skills required • Must have good manual dexterity, the ability to use various hand tools, ability to climb and work at elevated heights exert considerable physical effort bend lift stoop climb • Experience with LOTO confined space hot work permits NFPA 70e guidelines • Must possess and maintain a valid drivers license • Must have a clean driving record
