General Maintenance Technician

Chipton-Ross is seeking a skilled General Maintenance Technician to join a leading aerospace and defense organization in Goleta, California.

What You'll Do

As a General Maintenance Technician, you will perform routine and preventative maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and facility support activities across plant and office environments.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform repairs and maintenance involving plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, mechanical systems, painting, and general facility upkeep
• Troubleshoot facility and equipment issues and identify effective solutions
• Conduct inspections and determine required repair and maintenance work
• Perform light construction and fabrication work
• Utilize hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Interpret blueprints, sketches, wiring diagrams, layouts, and technical drawings
• Support sheet metal, plastic fabrication, metalworking, and machining activities as needed
• Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 6 years of related maintenance experience
• Experience across multiple skilled trades, including:
• • Plumbing
  • Electrical
  • Structural repairs
  • Painting
  • General building maintenance
• Minimum 2 years of HVAC experience
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Light construction experience
• Metalworking and/or machining experience
• Ability to lift and carry 40-50 pounds
• Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
