Responsibilities:
What You'll Do
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and expert repairs on guest rooms and mechanical equipment.
- Conduct complex preventative maintenance and repairs for electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting tasks.
- Respond promptly to service calls and resolve maintenance issues with a focus on safety and quality.
- Troubleshoot malfunctions, document findings, and communicate necessary corrective actions to supervisors.
- Support the Chief Engineer in overseeing the engineering function of the ranch.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure all tools are returned to their designated storage.
- Collaborate with other departments to address any maintenance concerns and support overall operations.
- Train and provide technical advice to fellow maintenance staff as needed.
- Monitor and maintain fire alarm and life safety systems, ensuring readiness in emergencies.
- Promote energy conservation and report any ideas for efficiency improvements.
- Complete work assignments efficiently and within allocated time frames, ensuring minimal rework.
What You'll Bring
- Strong skills in carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and painting.
- Ability to operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Valid driver’s license and a desire to continuously learn and develop trade-specific skills.
- Basic knowledge of HVAC systems and general maintenance practices.
- High school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience.
