Description

Syndeo has a direct hire opening for our client, a leading out-processing and finishing company in the aerospace industry. We are seeking a dependable General Maintenance Technician to join their team.

As a General Maintenance Technician, your primary role will be to perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the proper functioning of manufacturing equipment. Your work will help maintain a safe and efficient production environment.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm 

Pay Range: $17- $19/hour

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including greasing machinery, changing air filters, belts, and replacement parts.
  • Perform belt changes and assist with moving and positioning equipment as needed.
  • Provide basic troubleshooting and repair of mechanical and electrical issues, escalating complex problems when appropriate.
  • Perform light fabrication tasks, including cutting and grinding.
  • Assist with minor plumbing repairs, such as fixing leaks.
  • Conduct low-voltage/current wire repairs for sensors and related components.
  • Assist with scheduling maintenance activities to minimize production disruptions.
  • Ensure all maintenance and repair tasks are performed in compliance with company safety policies.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification is a plus but not required).
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or maintenance role preferred
  • Basic mechanical skills and a willingness to learn about equipment maintenance.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals through print and video (gaming experience helpful)
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs and working in various environmental conditions.
  • Comfort with heights, climbing ladders, standing, bending, and working in confined spaces for extended periods.
  • Valid Driver’s License and insurable driving record
