Additionally we guide families every step of the way so that they feel a sense of security even during the most trying of times.We are seeking General Maintenance Workers to join our team and assist with keeping the grounds in their beautiful serene state all while helping with the preparation and conduction of burials.Please note that this is a seasonaltemporary position starting on or around March 2025Job DutiesPick up and clean debris weeds and other cleaning and maintenance activities as needed pick-up soil snow leaves etc.Perform gardening and landscaping tasks throughout the cemeteryOperate equipment such as tampers jackhammers bronze trimmers and other heavy equipment as neededLift and move bronze memorials cement foundations sod plywood etc.Carry caskets during internments and entombments as required during the day-to-day cemetery operationsMinimum RequirementsMust be ready willing and able to work weekendsMust possess a valid unexpired Drivers LicenseMust be able to comprehend and communicate effectively in EnglishMust be legally authorized to work in the U.S.Physical RequirementsMust be able to work outdoors under any weather conditionsMust be able to remain on feet for continuous periods of timeMust be able to climb ladders stairs ramps etc.Must be able to walk considerable distances during the course of the work-shiftMust be able to lift rise and lower objects from one level to anotherMust be able to pull push and carry large amounts of weight 50-100 lbs. at any given timePinelawn Memorial Park and Arboretum is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer
