Job Title: General Maintenance Worker

This position is located at the Fort Huachuca Army Base.

Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Perform general maintenance tasks to ensure the proper functioning of facilities and equipment
  • Conduct routine inspections and identify any maintenance or repair needs
  • Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner and prioritize tasks accordingly
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems
  • Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to track work orders and document completed tasks
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns from staff and tenants
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed and materials used
  • Supervise and coordinate external contractors for specialized repairs or projects
  • Interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to guide maintenance activities

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of facilities maintenance principles and practices

Plumbing skills

  • Proficiency in electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems
  • Experience working with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment using logical problem-solving techniques
  • Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail

Special Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Must be able to successfully pass a federal background screening and drug test
  • Licenses: If required in the state of Arizona please provide a copy of completed licenses
