At Valley Presbyterian Hospital, our Facilities team plays a critical role in maintaining a safe and fully operational environment for patients and staff. We’re seeking a skilled General Maintenance Worker to support equipment maintenance, repairs, and facility operations across the hospital.

What You’ll Do

• Perform maintenance and minor repairs on equipment including motors, pumps, fans, and filters
• Support electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical system maintenance
• Assist with installation and repair of fixtures (lighting, sinks, toilets, faucets)
• Maintain and stock maintenance supplies within budget guidelines
• Support painting, wall repairs, and general facility upkeep
• Maintain cleanliness of plant areas, supply rooms, and equipment
• Assist other trades (plumbing, electrical, etc.) as needed
• Perform safety checks and isolation room testing
• Ensure compliance with PPE, safety standards, and hospital policies
• Transport and move equipment or furniture as needed

What You Bring

• 2+ years of maintenance or facilities experience (hospital setting preferred)
• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems
• Understanding of motors, pumps, and mechanical equipment
• Ability to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs
• Strong attention to safety and detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Requirements

• Combination of education and experience in maintenance or mechanical repair
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Ability to obtain LA City Fire Card within 30 days
