General Manager

Pay: From $40,000.00 per year

Job description:

A sports performance center, focusing on athletic training for boys and girls ages 8 to 18 in Buffalo Grove is looking for a general manager to start immediately.

Job responsibilities include sales of memberships for ages 8 to 18. We also offer 1 on 1 personal training, team training, facility rental.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree
• Sports background (college, semi-pro or professional)
• Minimum 5 years of demonstrated leadership and expertise in coordinating an athletic program
• Athletic training, physical education, exercise science, sports management or a related field is preferred
• Marketing and business development experience
• Excellent time management skills
• Computer literate to operate our software

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Customer development - must have outstanding client acquisition and closing skills. You must be a strong closer.
• Oversee our Sports Performance program and staff
• Member retention through outstanding customer management, curriculum and effective communication
• Ability to cultivate a network with local teams, clubs, schools, park districts.
