With continued investment in people, systems, and infrastructure, the organization is seeking an accomplished General Manager to strengthen day-to-day execution, develop its leadership team, and position the business for continued profitable growth.

Position Overview

The General Manager will serve as the senior operating leader of the business, with responsibility for financial performance, operations, sales, customer experience, and people development. This is a true business leadership role with significant autonomy and direct partnership with ownership.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on, people-focused leader who combines strong financial and operational acumen with the ability to coach, develop, and hold teams accountable. A key priority will be strengthening sales and operational execution while creating the structure, processes, and leadership capabilities necessary to scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Own overall business performance, including P&L, budgeting, forecasting, profitability, and operational KPIs.
• Lead day-to-day operations across multiple functional departments.
• Develop and coach the leadership team while establishing clear expectations and accountability.
• Strengthen sales leadership, execution, training, and performance management.
• Implement consistent operating processes, scorecards, and performance reviews.
• Drive improvements in productivity, margins, customer experience, and overall business performance.
• Recruit and develop high-performing leaders and create succession plans for critical positions.
• Build scalable systems and processes that support continued growth.
• Partner directly with ownership on strategic initiatives and long-term business planning.
• Create a culture centered on accountability, leadership development, customer service, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive operational or general management leadership experience.
• Demonstrated experience with full P&L responsibility.
• Proven success leading a business, division, or large operating team.
• Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets, KPIs, margins, and profitability.
• Demonstrated ability to improve sales and operational performance.
• Experience developing managers and building high-performing leadership teams.
• Strong coaching, communication, and change management skills.
• Track record of implementing processes, creating accountability, and driving measurable results.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading a field-based, service-oriented, industrial, distribution, construction, or similar operating environment.
• Experience managing an organization of meaningful scale and complexity.
• Prior General Manager, President, business unit leader, operations executive, or comparable leadership experience.
• Experience leading large sales and/or operational teams.
• Experience within a private equity-backed, acquisitive, or high-growth organization.
• Experience supporting business transformations, integrations, or significant growth initiatives.

Work Environment & Relocation

This is a full-time, on-site executive leadership position in the Greater Cleveland, Ohio area. The General Manager will maintain a highly visible leadership presence and work closely with ownership and the broader leadership team.

Compensation: Low-to-Mid $200Ks Total Compensation + Equity
