About the Opportunity

An established and highly respected commercial roofing contractor in Dallas, TX, is seeking an experienced General Manager to oversee its Project Management division.

This individual will lead a team of five Project Managers responsible for large-scale, new construction roofing projects. We are looking for a strong construction leader who can drive operational performance, develop team members, maintain profitability, and ensure projects are delivered successfully.

Commercial roofing experience is preferred but not required. Candidates with strong backgrounds in general contracting, commercial construction, or construction management are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of five Project Managers

• Oversee project execution, scheduling, budgets, and overall profitability

• Monitor job costs, financial forecasts, change orders, and project performance

• Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget

• Work closely with field operations, estimating, executive leadership, and customers

• Establish accountability, improve processes, and support operational efficiency

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with general contractors and project stakeholders

• Identify project challenges and implement proactive solutions

Qualifications

• 10+ years of a strong background in commercial construction, general contracting, or commercial roofing

• Proven leadership experience overseeing Project Managers or construction operations teams

• Experience with large-scale new construction projects

• Strong understanding of construction budgets, scheduling, contracts, and financial performance

• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred

• Commercial roofing experience is a plus, but GC backgrounds are welcome

Compensation & Opportunity

• Base Salary: $150,000

• Annual Bonus: 20% target

• Total Target Compensation: $180,000
