ABOUT GOLF RANCH

Golf Ranch is building golf’s home base: tech-enabled driving ranges rooted in community and designed to be the friendliest place in golf. No formal dress codes and no attitude, just good golf and good people. Beginners and lifelong golfers hit side by side, and thousands of members make us part of their week through Ranch Pass, our monthly membership. We operate in Texas, Arizona, Missouri, and Connecticut, and are growing.

THE OPPORTUNITY

For about twenty years, Mulligan’s Island has been where Providence-area families and golfers go to hit balls, play mini golf, and spend time together. We are transforming this ~55 acre property into Golf Ranch, with new covered, tech-enabled hitting bays, putting green, a renovated clubhouse, and an upgraded food and beverage program.

Most GM jobs hand you a finished building and someone else’s team. This one starts about six months before we reopen. You will learn our model inside an operating Golf Ranch, get to know the Cranston community, and hire the team that opens the doors. By opening day, you will have regulars, members, and a team that knows exactly what great looks like.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Build the opening team. Recruit, hire, and train every seat, starting with your assistant GMs and leads.

• Become part of the community. Build relationships with local courses, coaches, schools, leagues, and businesses, so we have fans before we open.

• Open ready. Partner with our operations and construction team so the building, systems, and team are ready on day one.

• Welcome back the regulars. Carry twenty years of Mulligan’s customers into Golf Ranch and sign up our first members.

• Deliver the friendliest place in golf. Be on the floor at peak and build a guest experience that holds whether or not you are there.

• Grow membership. Turn first visits into members who stay, through a great sales process and great service.

• Own the P&L you control. Labor, inventory, food and beverage, retail, and the condition of the site.
• Develop leaders. Build a team that runs without you, and grow the people who will run the next site.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

Once we are open, a great GM delivers four things: the site hits its number, guests love the place, members join and stay, and the team runs without them.

WHO YOU ARE

• 5+ years leading guest-facing operations, including at least 2 years as a general manager with full P&L responsibility.

• You have opened a location, led a turnaround, or built something through change.

• You hire great people and develop them into leaders.

• You own the result, especially in a tough month. You know what drives your margin, and you bring solutions instead of excuses.

• You lead from the front. The room changes when you walk in, and you stay steady when it gets hard.

• You tell the truth early and ask for feedback before it is offered.

• You are ready for a guest-facing schedule, including nights, weekends, and peak season.

• Bonus points for membership or subscription sales, food and beverage, seasonal business, golf operations, or roots in New England.

GOLF IS PART OF YOUR LIFE

Our people are the product. Guests come back week after week because of the people behind the counter and on the tee line, and the fastest way to connect with a golfer is to be one. You do not need a low handicap or years in the golf industry. You do need to love the game and be able to get a beginner excited about it. We will ask.
