Job Summaries
The General Manager is a newly created role focused on day-to-day operations and leadership of the company. This position will oversee service, accounting, and internal operations while maintaining key relationships with OEM builders and customers. It is an on-site leadership role ideal for a collaborative leader with machine tool industry experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day operations of the company
- Oversee the service department and accounting functions
- Maintain strong relationships with OEM machine tool builders and key customers
- Foster a collaborative, family-style team environment
- Support company growth and operational efficiency
- Participate in occasional travel to trade shows or builder visits (approximately 10%)
Requirements
- Prior experience in the machine tool industry (dealer, builder, or machine shop background required)
- Demonstrated leadership or management experience
- Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative leadership style
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, small-team, family-oriented environment
- Willingness to work fully on-site
Preferred Requirements
- Associate’s degree, vocational/technical training, or relevant technical background
- Experience managing service or operations in a machine tool distributor environment
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $125,000 – $150,000
- Bonus: 5% Profit Sharing
