Job Overview

As a General Manager at Nifty Fifty’s, you will be the driving force behind the overall success of the restaurant. You will lead and support both the management team and hourly staff, ensuring operational excellence across all areas—from team performance and food quality to guest satisfaction and profitability. You’ll be responsible for maintaining our high standards, upholding company policies, and fostering a culture built on respect, accountability, and exceptional service. With a hands-on approach and strong leadership, you will develop your team, drive performance, and create a fun, efficient, and welcoming environment that keeps our guests coming back.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Lead by example and model exceptional guest service for all team members
• Train and develop staff to consistently uphold Nifty Fifty’s brand standards
• Coach and evaluate employee performance and track professional growth
• Enforce company policies, procedures, and operational standards
• Establish and monitor weekly, monthly, and annual goals for restaurant performance
• Manage labor, inventory, and overhead to maintain a profitable operation
• Foster guest loyalty through consistent quality, hospitality, and community engagement
• Recruit, interview, and hire team members who embody a positive, guest-first attitude
• Ensure the cleanliness, safety, and visual appeal of the restaurant and all equipment
• Promote a safe, respectful, and team-oriented workplace
• Create and implement strategies to improve quality, productivity, morale, and guest satisfaction
• Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as directed by upper management

Qualifications & Requirements

• ServSafe Certification required — or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Self-motivated with a hands-on leadership style
• Proficient in math and financial tracking
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Effective time management and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Spanish-speaking ability is welcomed and can enhance team interactions.
