Description
About the role: The General Manager Ford is responsible for overseeing the new Retail sales, service and Fleet & Commercials Sales. This role encompasses managing inventory, sales processes, and customer satisfaction, while also contributing to overall dealership profitability. Key responsibilities include hiring, training, and motivating employees, setting sales goals, developing and implementing marketing strategies, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Continue Ricart's legacy as #1 Ford Dealer
Partner with Manufacture Representative to align Ford and dealership initiatives
Design and implement strategy to build year over year incremental increases to Net Profit
Create monthly and annual dealership sales and service forecasts
Participate in quarterly financial reviews and reconciliation meeting with President and COO
Hire, train, motivate, and hold accountable management team Ford
Meet with managers individually to develop monthly and annual goals and objectives, and to review actual performance
Monitor the daily operating controls, implements action plans as needed
Hold weekly Level 10 meetings to ensure that every department is operating efficiently and profitably
Issues all demonstrators and ensures that appropriate dealership records are maintained
Audits all appraisals of trade-in vehicles
Works directly with the Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer regarding short-term and long-term advertising plans and sales promotions
Works directly with the HR People Business Partner to forecast staffing, employee retention strategies, disciplinary actions, and pay plans
Attend to customer complaints, ensuring that a high level of customer satisfaction is obtained
Requirements
Must be approved by Manufacturer (FORD)
Prior Ford General Sales Manager, Fixed Operations Manager or General Manager strongly preferred
Must have a proven and consistent record of culture and team-building success, with strong employee relations skills to appropriately interact with, lead, develop, recruit, and discipline employees on all organization levels
Must have full and detailed knowledge and understanding of the Ford Vehicle Market and Ford Car Sales and Service Operations
Must have a strong understanding of financials, expenses, compensation, and scheduling
Required to understand and keep abreast of the federal, state, and local regulations that affect their operations and comply with these regulations
Strong verbal and written communication skills are required to successfully interact with employees, manufacturers, vendors, and customers. This position represents the dealership at all times
Ability to excel in a fast-paced, high volume environment
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and reason through workload
Must work well under pressure and within a climate of changing intensity. Must possess strong stress management skills
Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality of information
Must be computer literate, well versed in G-Suite programs, and Microsoft Excel
